Hi Guys,

I noticed that whenever i connect a digital audio interface to my computer and a mixer i always get Digital noise. I can litteraly hear the CPU running. It's at a very low level and i dont think it is noticeable in any parts but silence in a track. Still it' there and i clean it out whenever it is apparent.

Question is how can this be avoided ?

Hm, A gate is a possibility but it is still a patch. I'm wondering if i can avoid it. It has to do with ground loops i'm sure. I'm going to put this question to an electrotechnician. I know just the guy.
I'd like to be able to let a sound die out untill there is nothing more to be heard except for ground noise which should be so silent you can't notice it.
