I can't get the search feature to come up with any results for topics I KNOW have been covered many times. Even thought this was part of a Sticky at one point.

Spent two and a half hours trying to get the Aux Send and Return to work with very limited success.
Eventually my external unit was getting a signal (Aux Sends on all that time) I wasn't getting anything back at first. Eventually I was getting left channel return only on the meters for paired channel 15 and 16 but I forgot the Aux sends were not balanced so I need to swap cables

With all the changes I was making I kept having to turn of EQ for the return track and turn on the signal path over and over. Saved setting to a scene to make sure it started off right but things kept changing. Later I remembered about the infamous and very frustrating issue with previous Scene settings coming back to haunt you if you don't initialize either the song or the tracks but I can't find a screen that shows an Initialize option in either Song or Track settings.

You can initialize by scene or by channel.

Hope that helps.

Never mind I found some old print outs I made dating back to Dinsdale's original forum and initiate is under Scenes. That one actually makes sense and don't know why it didn't occur to me
