Thank goodness you didn't check the dumpster out back... it looked like a diamond mine in the sunset the other night!

BTW, the "Bait, Liquor and Authorized Wurlie Dealer" guy had to cross out the word "Liquor" on their sign on Sunday afternoon after I cleaned them out until the supply truck rolled through "town" on Monday morning

Aaaaaannnnndddd... I seem to recall seeing an endless sequence of blue glasses filled with an icy green substance being relayed in regularly to a certain flyin' cowboy - there's no physical evidence of them though because they're refillable, over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over...

Hey Geno,

I can see you in the office right now in your robe, with your coffee and a Marlboro hangin' off your lip, makin' them wisecracks left right and centre.

From now on when I read your posts, I'll laugh even harder because now I know where they're coming from (and even funnier, what's being left out of them sometimes - now I'm able to read between the lines     ).

You are one crazy cowboy!

No, but the night I slept out in the meditation pagoda I checked for scorpions very thoroughly. I did get lots more ratshit outta both Wurlies last night after cracking the casings open! No other nests though - apparently they were single-dwelling Wurlies

Why do ya think they liked the treble end ? Good thing they liked wiring instead of hammer wood and felt.

Are ya gonna put 2 speakers in each one or keep them original?

Not sure what to do yet. Last night I found a wonderful PDF Wurlitzer piano manual online that thoroughly covers every service aspect of all Wurlies from the 140 on up through the entire 200 series, so I'll be busy tinkering for quite a while. There is also a comprehensive troubleshooting chapter with symptoms and solutions. It looks like the amp section will be pretty simple to fix. All electronic component specs and values are shown in the manual - even a simple tinewhacker like me should be able to restore (or even hotrod) Wurlie#2.

I'm leaving #1 just as it is - perfect!

Ahhhhhh great idea! #1 stock. Hot rod #2. Sweet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe hide a really cool amp inside the cab and shitcan the wurli amp.
I suspect from hearing the quality of #1 that the factory amp is half of the charactoristic wurli sound. Still think some experiments would be in order for #2. What could it hurt? I do like the idea of hot rodding #2 though.
