Last night my son in law helped me move the heavy studio stuff out of the house to the barn studio. It's a mess. Cords everywhere. Should only take a few hours to get things working again. It's cloudy and cool here today. A list mist prevails after the cold front passage yesterday. A few last minute details at the downtown office and about noon or so I'll officially be on vacation. Don and Tina are expected this evening and Ricky will drag in whenever. We have a local Blues picker (understand he's pretty hot) showing up tomorrow. Don and I will get things pretty much set up in the morning. My daughter loaded me her video cam and we will start posting pictures tomorrow.

Hey boys,

I'm shacked up in a motel on I-30 just a few hours away from the hallowed grounds of TexasStock :D I've got over 2400 kilometers on the odometer so far. Did a couple of whirlwind tours on the way down - Nashville yesterday, then blasted down the "Music Highway" into Memphis (and Graceland of course) today. Of course, that's nothin' compared to what's waitin' jest down Sky Road a spell 8)

Two days in the south and already I'm developing a southern drawl.

Slightly? I'm pig-sick green! it would have been fabulous to traverse America north to south in a car, to do so in Ricky's company would have been idyllic for me.

Having looked at Geno's pics, I can't help but feel that Ricky is going to enjoy the experience mind you - kid in a candy shop sprang to mind :D
