Try wearing a dijonstock T in Dijon. You get questions like that.

Last year we went to Nice and we stopped in Dijon (halfway) to spend the night. I was wearing a dijonstock t-shirt in a restaurant and people wanted to know what it was about. "Is it a yearly event?", "Is it about our famous mustard?" etc.

Of course, you informed them that it is really about Gouda cheese, right?

Dear new member

Until now you've been able to observe the average lifespan of a thread hereabouts  .

As this discussion continues, get ready to learn about the universal truth regarding all things cheese, the almost universal disliking of all things Rush and our personal views on topics such as politics and religion.

The attentive reader might have already discovered the word cheese - only a couple of posts above this one - mentioning this word will normally result in references towards red and yellow wax.

Pay attention and see how this story unfolds...

Yes, and you told them the tale of how you and the Swiss guy smuggled foreign cheeses right into the heart of unpasteurized cheese country and brazenly had fondue parties and Gouda cutting parties right out in the open.....in Dijon.

oh yeah, and occasional threads on Yamahas and the recording process -- although even those are often interrupted by philosophical musings

Yep Enemy cheesemakers closing in on our position while the major and I only had a couple babybels left to boobietrap the surrounding paths leading to our location.

That night, boys turned into men - and countless enemies lost their brie in salvos of Gouda grenades and Tilsit Napalm. It wasn't pretty - but it saved our lives.

:salute:

Forty-three cheeses are mentioned the Monty Python skit - Red Leicester, Tilsit, Caerphilly, Bel Paese, Red Windsor, Stilton, Emmental, Gruyère, Norwegian Jarlsberg, Liptauer, Lancashire, White Stilton, Danish Blue, Double Gloucester, Cheshire, Dorset Blue Vinney, Brie, Roquefort, Pont l'Evêque, Port Salut, Savoyard, Saint-Paulin, Carré de l'Est, Bresse-Bleu, Boursin, Camembert, Gouda, Edam, Caithness, Smoked Austrian, Japanese Sage Derby, Wensleydale, Greek Feta, Gorgonzola, Parmesan, Mozzarella, Pipo Crème, Danish Fynbo (mispronounced 'fimboe'), Czechoslovakian sheep's milk, Venezuelan Beaver Cheese, Cheddar, Ilchester, and Limburger.
Venezuelan Beaver Cheese
This type of cheese is, like its supposed progenitor, non-existent. Although this delicacy appears to be entirely fictional (Venezuela has no native beavers). Despite this, various recipes for Venezuelan Beaver cheese have since been published.  :happy1:
