Both Chris (Drum) and Michel (MicEater) have resigned from moderator status.

The main reason is they don't have the opportunity to visit on a more or less daily basis anymore.

They have both been a moderator since the early days and they helped me through a looooot of trouble. For the newer members, this site might look like there has always been peace and quiet, but the contrary is true. Chris and Michel never let us down, first and foremost by giving me their honest opinion on things that arose.

Michel, Chris, thank you very very much for all the help you gave to this community. It is an awful lot and it is very much appreciated.

I sincerely hope that you will both continue to visit the forum if you have a couple of minutes to spare. If ever you are back in a situation where you can be a mod again, the "modgic wand" will be yours. You have both proven to be more than worthy.

Thank you, thank you, thank you.

What does a moderator do besides "moderate". Cool out people who get "out of control"?

That's most of what we do - just keep an eye on things and step in if needed. We give Robbie our opinions on forum operations when he asks. We have the power to edit or delete posts if things get out of hand, but I've never edited a post before, and the only posts I've deleted were from bots. With the new bot filters, that's a job of the past. We try to be hands off as much as possible. The fine people here make that approach much easier. 8)

Thanks Micheal and Chris ! You have made admin's job a lot easier. During the bot infestation there was an hours worth of work per day just trying to keep up with them. That takes dedication. Thanks again guys.

A heartfelt round of applause and thanks goes out to Chris, Michel, and Robbie.

The three Musketeers have always allowed me enough rope to hang myself on more than one occassion when I was a bit pissy, foul mouthed, irritable, and came across as....well....a complete asshole.

I'm stiil pissy, foul mouthed, irritable, and an asshole.

I'm still here.

Thanks. :)

They tell people like me to SHUT UP when people like me have been known to get out of hand.

You should read more, Denny.

OK, quit kissin' their butts. They left us so there is only one thing to do.....no actually two.

Option 1:

Michel, Chris......I challenge both of you to a duel at 30 paces. Now not both of you at the same time, but one at a time. Well because if you both shot at the same time one of you would surely get me and that would be bad, so....ummm, bad idea.

Option 2:

Beg......guys. Please come back....p-p-p-p-p-lease. Two really good dudes! C'mon guys, whattya say?

Anyway.....no Mac, I have not been drinking and no other mind altering substances unless you count that Blue Bell ice cream I just had, whew! was that good.

Seriously, Chris and Michel....Godspeed & peace be with you and yours!

Gary
