Sorry guys I fought with the G until 1:00 Am this morning and I am just going in circles with the scenes having a mind of their own.

I got so irritated I find myself physically ill so I'm taking a sabatical from the G. My G nearly met the business end of a large hammer last night.

I sincerely appreciate the advice, support and time extension but I'm spent and I did not get any of the projects done I took the week off for in the first place. The other reason I took off was to de-stress from some work place hostile environment issues LOL......

I think in a month or two I will back up every thing, clear the HD, install the OS update and try again.

Scooter, You've had that G now for about 4 or 5 years. Why not just offer up one of your other tunes for the Comp CD.

Yeah, or just a stripped down version so we can get the "essence" of Scoot...

This is a stripped down version and less than a stellar recording of Butterfly which took less than two hours to record.

Scooter,

I think that what we're saying is it's high time that you quit over analyzing the G and creating scenes and just simply let the music flow.

Here's an example of something less than perfect......

Scoot,
I agree with Randy. Every song I've ever done on the G is mixed wrong and crappily mastered but the pure joy of making my own music is something I hold very dear. Check out the other compilations and you'll see what I mean.
Pick up a guitar, turn on the G and sing your heart out. That's it!
Anyway, would love to hear from you but if not, I love the fact that you are on the forum.

I'm beginning to think Scooter doesn't have a G.

Sounds like a bit of a nightmare. I'm with Geno on his advice to check the tempo map. If the wrong number gets into the list on the right side of that screen, then you are in trouble. If you have been creating all new scenes with all your scene rescuing efforts, this list in the tempo map needs to be scrutinized very carefully to ensure the correct scenes are called up. I know you must know this already, but as you toggle down this list in the tempo map it is so easy to screw up. between the enter button and the jog wheel there is great potential for the wrong scene to be requested.

Hope you get it sorted. Looking forward to hearing the song and the explanation of your troubles.

Regards,

Byron

I have to ask (and I don't have time to read all 11 pages of this forum)...
do you by any chance still have the Yamaha Song demo in your G?

Scooter,

I extended two deadline extensions in order for you to make a submission to Comp CD 2008.

Sell your G if you're not going to use it.

It's obvious that you have owned your G for 5 years and have yet to record anything to submit.

:violent1:

No Further Submissions will be accepted beyond this time...............period.

I owe it to to all who made submissions for the Comp CD at the earliest effort and I am expected to produce an end product.

Personally I like it when people have a bit of empathy and are actually nice to each other -

But that's just me.

I realize that I was a bit harsh but the point that I want to get across to Scooter is that none of us can hit that RECORD button when we are 6 feet under.

Sorry if I offended anyone.
