No, I won't step on a soul that is already stepped upon.

We have to support our friend here.

Tell you what. He will never kill a thread anymore, because when he posts somewhere, anywhere, WE will respond!! :D

Actually I'm too old to get a complex anymore. 'Thread Killer" is a cool name. Maybe even my next band name.

I just wanted to thank those for any kind words about my contributions to the Comp CD. I really appreciate it. The collection has lived in my car since I got it and I can't tell you how much I have enjoyed everyones work. See you on the next comp (just kidding-like this could ever be topped!)

Welcome any time, Mic, but to be on the safe side we'd better wait a couple of months because of Ria's pregnancy.

Jep, that's clear  !

I wouldn't do this upon very short notice anyway... and certainly not, while you guys are preparing to welcome the little Vanaperen, or in the time immediately afterwards  .

I insist on pictures though :D .

Michel

Some brief things I like about the tunes on disk 1...

Drum - great atmosphere, made-for-headphones listening

Pianojam - really nice groove, impressive vocal work

Short - those big masterful guitars really shine

Bassoprofundo - good crunchy groove, great bass lines

TonyM - super opening contrasts, tight and punchy

DJBud - all parts contribute so well to the tasty dark mood

Jeffree - could use a louder mix and some smoother transitions

Sleepless - great instrumentation and an interesting and lively mix

Captain - I actually danced around the house, killer performance and mix

Birdz Sessions - tasty guitar, those staccato patterns are very effective

Dcarlton - great mood, knockout slide and voals

The Group - nice jazzy feel, good fresh intrumentation and mix

Bluesky - tight and pwerful, such sweet guitar tones

Utah - really refreshing writing, performance, and instrumentation

Short - great vocal, groove is really in the pocket

Bassoprofundo - good open mix, tight and punchy with great bass lines

A big thanks to you all for inspiring me in so many different ways.

I'll be back in a week or so with some reactions to disk 2.

Best,
Jeff
