Tony--and anyone else interested,

I just spoke with a foreign colleague who brings DVDs back from abroad.
As was my case before buying a converter, he's unable to play them through his regular television (typical American NTSC), but they do work fine with his computer. That's probably good news for our DVD release, at least for anyone with a computer DVD tray.

J.

How did I miss this thread?

PAL is basically a different frame rate than NTSC, so normally there would be some type of conversion necessary.

Most Pal players WILL play NTSC standard discs as well. Most NTSC players WILL NOT play Pal standard discs. However, there are some that will.

DVD's created on your computer generally should play in ALL regions.
