Hi Guys,

After days of trying and puzzling I found how the playlist should be. Disc 2 gave me problems. After that was completed I could print the labels, the design was already there (thanks, Chris!!) and it's beautiful.

Now I'm burning CD's which goes very slow. Burning at 16x gave serious problems so I had to put it back to 8x. In the meantime I'm working on the booklet. Most people got a PM where I ask for additional information for the booklet. So, this is going to be on the schedule tomorrow.

Robbie

Robbie...did this end up as a 3 CD set? That's a lot of CD's to burn. Also, is the booklet an insert to the CD or a side item?

Thanks for all your efforts!! It sounds like a lot of work.

It's going to be 3 audio CD's (they are done, including the labeling), one DVD (the DijonStock video, these I still have to burn but the editing is done), so they are 4 discs - in a DVD box. Included in the box is a booklet with info on the songs and the performers.

At the moment I'm working on the booklet. I hope to be able to burn the DVD's in the weekend.

Great Googally Moogally Robbie!!! How are any future comp CD producers ever going to top this outstanding effort?? I hereby put forth a motion that the job is Robbies to keep. Any seconds? Dissent?

(Robbie....since you've been officially nominated, I'm afraid you have no vote in this. )

Guys,

I nearly finished the booklet. It is coming along real nice. I still miss a couple of things and the people that it concerns got an email with a request for the information. Maybe someone got mailed twice  but better safe than sorry :D .

Now, how am I going to staple a 35 page book ...

Robbie

I've got this picture in my mind of a Seinfeld episode... George opened his fat wallet on a windy day and 1000 scraps of paper exploded into the air. I'll promise to open the envelope carefully, Robbie. Good luck.

The booklet is almost finished, I hope to be able to do the "finishing touch" tonight. The good news is that the guy who runs the copyshop of our school volunteered to do the cutting of the paper by machine, so: I can print it, hand it over to the guy and a couple of hours later I get it back in the correct size. He will save me days of work. It will also look a lot better than cut by hand. Cool!! I also decided to print it double sided so 36 pages will be 18 sheets of paper.

Robbie, this may turn out to be the greatest G-effort of all time. It's starting to sound like you have the entire community involved!

Can I have the film rights?

J.

The booklet is now complete!

Made a test print of it.

Looks really great!!

But... It takes an awful lot of time to print... about 15 minutes per booklet. Before I can hand over the stuff to the copy shop man... the printer has to work 20 hours  which is no problem, but I wonder how I'm going to do that before the weekend!

After that I have 80 DVD's to write and label. I've been looking for decent envelopes to send them in... no luck so far. Too small... I'll find a solution for that.

Last but not least... the printing of the box cover. That can be done in a couple of hours. I have to experiment a little bit with the correct size, but after all it is only one sheet so that will not be a very time consuming problem.

Oh man I like this job. I only wish there were 30 hours in a day. And another 8 to sleep.

Good luck, Robbie. Don't forget about the butcher, the baker, the tailor, and the candy man... let's get the whole town involved in this project. My film will demand it.

With big thanks,

J.
