Hi everyone,

Allthough I still need some time to get the Comp CD together (especially the booklet), I will be needing the addresses of all participants to where I can send it. Please send me your address by PM.

I know I do have addresses of some of you, still I'd like you to send your address anyway so I have it all in one place, it will make things a lot easier for me.

A couple of people did not contribute and asked for a copy anyway. I've had comments about whether this was fair or not. I really don't know, I would like to share the project with as many people as possible - but I'd like to ask these people to donate $ 10,- (or the equivalent in their own currency) to a good cause of their liking. We are all so incredibly lucky as to be in the situation to be able to afford a G and lots of people aren't, which in many cases isn't fair either. Of course I will be needing the addresses of the non-contributors, too. I hope this "solution" appeals to everyone. Thanks!

I think it a good solution and fair...afterall, if I understand correctly, it's going to be a 3 CD set and that is a lot of work, on everyone's part, but especially yours. You might want to think about how people can make payment. I think Drum did a PayPal thing or something.

David, I meant that everyone that did not send a song, can make a contribution themselves to any charity organisation they like. So they're not going to pay me or something like that.

Yeah, and you should make it clear, that the CD has a very nasty spell on it, which will make your ears, balls and fingers fall off (yeah, a really nasty spell for us muscians  ) if you don't donate those 10 bucks to charity  .

I think it's a very good idea :thumbleft: !

Ah, I thought you were asking those that didn't contribute to the content to help pay for the additional cost...which I still believe is fair. I thought "good cause" was a reference to music!

Actually, Robbie, I'd always expected to pay you for these CDs (to help defray your expenses) although I'd be happy to send money to my local animal shelter if that's the plan. I'm open.

But yes, why not use a Paypal set-up to offset some of your expenses and then let you forward any remaining money to a charity? For you, donating your time and effort are admirable and generous indeed, but there's no need to lose your money, as well. Let the group help you.

Just my opinion,

J.

As a 3 time contributer to compilations, I would dearly love to contribute to Robbie to cover his costs (and the same for the past comp CD's)...if you let me know how, I'll send you dollars, rupees, Euro's, or a nice batch of raw herring, onion and hot dog rolls that I fell in love with when I was there....

Guys, I really really appreciate it and it is really sweet, but there are a couple of reasons why I don't want any money to come this way. Furthermore, it is a great hobby, it is a great job to do so there's nothing wrong with the fact that it costs a little money. And I find it's a challenge to do it as low-budget as possible without compromising the quality. Prices of CD-R's, labels and stuff like that dropped dramatically in a year, DVD's are now cheaper than CD's one year ago. Last year it was a bigger "attack" on Randy's budget than it now is on mine.

The only thing I hope is that there'll be a volunteer for the CCD06.

You guys are sweet. Thanks!

Rob

** Bump **

Six people got a pm this morning asking for addresses... It would be incredible fun to be able to send all Comp CD's in one go. Thanks!

Robbie
