Hi,

My wife as a very critical music lover was abuzzed when hearing the CCD and I have the assignment to copy the CCD for her car. For her the greatest thing is the idea about the CCD and I have to adjust you all her for the project.

BTW: She told me to learn hard and spent more time in my basement studio

As more as I listen to the CCD the more I am abuzzed like my wife. I can feel everybodys heart in his contribution

Randy: Thank you again and again for all your work. The layout of the CCD is great and makes it a look professional!

Its a great honour for me and my bandmates to do an newbie contribution, too. I promise to learn a lot to do it better for the next CCD!

I think music projects like this are one of this little contributions for the people in the world to apply for more tolerance for other nations and peace in a prejudice free world.

Sterling work indeed folks, great original songs and great covers, and some of the production is amazing, I've learnt many a pointer just by listening. It been a blast hearing some old names again.

The musicianship on show has been wonderful to hear.

Finding it hard to get time and do a full review but I'll get there in the end.

Loving the grouping of the artists Randy, an excellent idea.

I can see this comp Cd getting an almost constant playing for a long while to come.

The reason for the good vibe in the song is IMHO that noone realized that I record that moment.

I could cry out loud angry, because at thursdays band rehersal we tried "Thrill is gone" the first time and we played this song with so much feeling but ... I dont anticipate this and forgot to push the record button. One of this magic moments and then this ...

BTW: I like all your 3 songs on the CompCD very much. "Head over Heels" is a highlight for me in recording quality, high level music performance and especially because I like this style of music.

Route 66 is a great recording!

I listened to it before anyone else had the opportunity to hear it.

I told you that it was great because it was a live recording. It just doesn't get any better than that! You did a great job of capturing the moment when you and your bandmates got together.

Do you remember that I told you I wanted to add a piano part?

first run through and I am amazed at the quality and the talent on show. I have much more detailed listening to do but I wanted to ask a question of RZ. Ron is that you on vocals on Midnight Hour? This was never one of my favourite songs but this vocal is a knockout - totally honest, recorded without any gimmicks, and perfectly suited to this genre. Well done!

Thanks for the compliment. Yes that's all me. The reason I chose this song, is back when I was in high school, I was the drummer in a band. We did a battle of the bands and that was one of the songs. So ever since then it's just been a favorite. I must say that the song is actually covered more from, of all bands, the Rascals version of the tune. I'm a big Young Rascals fan. Saw them in concert and have all their albums and cds.

Ron, I like your tune, too, especially the vocal. I'd forgotten about that tune, which I played in my very first band when I was 11 or 12. I use the word "band" liberally, of course. Mitch Ryder, and his Detroit Wheels, wrote that tune, and I'd sneak into the back door of a local club to hear them rock. What a group, what a song, right up there with the band's Devil in a Blue Dress. Thanks for bringing it all back, man!

Thanks bud for the compliment. Not sure if you're thinking of the same tune. Midnight Hour was covered by loads of bands back in the day. The song was actually composed by the performer Wilson Pickett & the legendary Memphis guitarist Steve Cropper back in the early 60's. They wrote it at the now infamous Lorainne Motel here in Memphis (Martin Luther King was murdered). Actually I'm thinking about doing another of his songs Mustang Sally as a follow up. Notice I said thinking!

Yep, I like her musical style a lot. When I listen to her tunes, or yours......I regret quitting taking piano lessons when I was 9.

More bouquets.

Firstly to Jeffree for "Run Fox Run". The composition and performance are inspiring for their musicianship, complexity, and flair. Outstanding musicianship like this can make for jaw-dropping moments. My wife is a big Joni Mitchell fan and said she expected to hear her voice come in anytime after the first few bars. I enjoyed it just the way it was. How come I hear so much drivel on the radio when there is music like this about?

Secondly to Bryter Layter for "Apart at the Seams". Take a beautifully crafted song, embellish it with a simple arrangement that is just right, and add a vocal treatment to die for. Start with an expressively beautiful, haunting voice and add just the right amount of exquisite, lush reverb and you have this winner. Close my eyes and this track could have been lifted straight from an Art Garfunkel album. Why hasn't somebody picked this guy up?Sublime!

Thanks for some wonderful moments in music.
