I only reach as far as the nearest Molson. God invented alternate tunings for the other stuff.

I'm comfortable in the 5 fret range (from the nut). Unfortunately, I got small hands. Hmmm, what's that saying again....

6 on the first three strings, 5 on the rest....but generally 5 comfortably on the first three, 5 for the others with some pain.

Luckily, I was (for the most part) a landbased avaiation mech. NAS Miramar 1980 - 1984. F-4S fighter jets. The squadron transitioned to F-14's about a month before my enlistment was up. Looking back, it was a great time, although I didn't think that way back then! 8)

I recall going to Yuma AZ for a couple weeks so our pilots could play with a Canadian squadron. The Canadian pilots flew in and immediately unloaded cigarettes and beer for their enlisted ground crew. I thought that was awsome to treat their guys like that. The only thing our pilots ever gave me was a piss-bag which I should have thrown back in his freaking face. We bought our own cigarettes and beer.

Well believe me I've cleaned up worse and I was the AC commander.
I didn't have the heart to make sombody else clean. I guess they didn't have relief tubes in supersonic jets.

I have one underneath the left seat in our airplane and I stick it in the co-pilot's face and tell him to speak into the "Arkansas Microphone" when he gets a case of the smart ass mouth. (with the cockpit door closed of course)

Ahhhhhh the stories I could tell!

I fully anticipated all the sickly / humorous replies.

I didn't expect this:

The largest interval I regularly play is on a nice, wide necked nylon strung and is a chord consisting of F (1st fret on the low E), C (3rd fret A string), and A (5th fret high E). That feels like quite a stretch.
