On some of the other recording forums, people have been replacing their hard drive with either solid state drives or SD readers. I don't remember if the connector was IDE or SCSI... but if so, I'm sure there can be an adapter that would let you do the conversion.

Any thoughts? Anyone brave enough to try it?
