Setting this thread back to it's topic. I have seen the video, Acoustic. I had no time to watch it before but i think it correctly explains how to set the volumes for the tracks. It's how i do it when i record something with the zoom. I still think that the zoom is a very decent device for recording provided you do the mix in Cubase later. The fact that you can copy the tracks from the SD card is a big plus. I think it would have helped a lot if t was easier to name the tracks so you wouldn't have to sort trough a lot of files named Stereo- or Mono-999.wav files. You have to go into Project -> Info -> Rename and then use the jog wheel like on the AW except you don't get a preview. It's just the character that has the focus that changes. There are enough buttons on the face to put the entire alfabeth, numbers 0-9 and then some. Together with a dedicated rename button, that would have been good.

I think setting the levels on this device is not difficult at all. (matter of opinion). It just allienates you a bit from the fact that you are used to a very good visualization of the signal. Here you have to trust the peak indicator and the fact that they build in enough of headroom.

That's what it says. If they're in doubt, they call me. I was the one who came up with the word "rotzooi". Look it up!
