I'm having an issue with channel 8, both regular and Hi-Z.

When I bring in a line level signal, the channel distorts. When I set the input trim all the way counter-clockwise I get horrible distortion, like the channel is too hot.

I initialized the channel, made sure that there were no effects, compression, or EQ... STILL same problem.

Any suggestions?

If I go through an external mixer and set the input at -24db I get a usable signal... but a lot of presence is missing.

The weird thing is that it happens on both the regular and Hi-Z input, so I'm pretty sure it's not the jack.

If I take the same signal and use it on inputs 3-7 it's fine.

Thanks.

Cin

Problem solved...

It appears as tho - when you play the demo song... (Thank you, Marcus), an amp simulator is set on channel 8 causing everything to sound... well... distorted.

I was in a hurry today since it was my first opportunity to record all 8 tracks simultaneously, I forgot to recall scene 00.

Live and learn.
