First move it back. There may be a power problem in that room. That way you'll have to disconnect everything and review connections.

Do you see a drive busy message ? It could be fragmentation or a drive that's almost full. In that case a HD format should cure things.

Hi,

HDD full? Fragmented HDD?

Seems that this is typicall call ing for ... Fomatting the HDD!
Dont think the power is the reason. The AWs are computers, so power problems will result in a restart of the AW.

Is there a lot of vibration where it sits ? They don't like that either.

Bad news is you can't defragment the drive. You can reformat it but you will lose all the material written upon it including the sample pad clips. One the G it's best to archive each song to a disk you want to save upon it's completion. I've had my G now for 7 years and have yet to reformat it. Guess I'm lucky. I do have each song backed up a separate disk in case something does go in the toilet or I need more room for another project. The deal where you backup a set of disks of the entire contents is risky because if one disk is bad in the set then all of them are useless. That happened to me on the Texastock archive on Don's 16G.

What kind of messages are you getting ? I'm still not exactly sure what the problem is. Is the HD nearly full. ? Did you try optimising each song ?
