Whilst awaiting a reprimand for filling this Forum with my announcements, may I advise that version 1.3 is now available for download.

http://www.tima.demon.co.uk/12.htm

This freeware program allows some remote control of the AY1600 (and other MMC enabled devices), and now includes some basic features to control the Balance, Pan, Effects 1 and 2 levels for each track.

Feel free to report bugs, suggestions, or if the program has any annoying qualities!

Thank you.

I had forgotton that on the AW1600, some channels have their Balances linked (e.g. 9/10), so I have put a little updated version into:
http://www.tima.demon.co.uk/12.htm

I accept this may introduce an inconvenience when using the bigger models (where I assume more tracks can be controlled individually).

And finally a question -
I am curious about "fast forward" and "rewind". Do all of the models do it at the same speed? Does anyone know how quick their 'fast forward' or 'rewind' is?

JPG, forgive me if I misunderstood your post. The software mentioned in this thread is not related to any Yamaha patches. This is a standalone Windows program and does not need to be installed into the Yamaha.

In case anyone wants it, the "VB.NET" source code is also freely available.

http://www.tima.demon.co.uk/12.htm

(Although such development would usually be done using Microsoft's Visual Studio, it is possible to edit the files using Notepad; and then re-compile into an executable using simple commands found on most modern PCs.)

They are well, and all send their kindest regards.

Wholly off-topic, some of the information I learnt in these Forums from Robbie went into producing this animation,

Anyone remotely interesting in FFT may find it slightly interesting.

I set the Yamaha:

MIDI 1:

IN PORT: USB 2
OUT PORT: ----
THROUGH: ---()-----

MIDI 2:

MMC MODE SLAVE
MTC MODE: MASTER

I can only move: PLAY, STOP, RECORD, RECORD EXIT (to activate the "Play" after), REWIND, FAST FORWARD

I donĀ“t work with: RETURN TO ZERO, TIME LOCATOR, BALANCE (all SEND CONTROL CHANGES)

with windows 7 professional,any solution? :)

Since I put into PLAY takes 4 seconds to activate the yamaha

I know this is an old thread, but am posting to advise that the free Windows application is still available; but at a new URL.
