Hi everybody,

I'm starting to get into MIDI at the moment, mainly because I'd love to get the added flexibility of some MIDI-tracks in Cubase in addition to the Audio Tracks on the G.

I did a quick search around here, and although there are some threads covering parts of my question, I didn't find one adressing the "bug" I'm encountering.

Now, what I did is the following.

- I told Cubase to send MMC and MTC signals to my M-Audio-Firewire's MIDI-out.
- I've told the G to be MMC and MTC slave.

Now, all is nicely working, the G acting as a slave and all... but still, it doesn't work 100% right.

The problem I'm having, is an almost 0.5 second time difference between the G and Cubase.

Say I hit play within Cubase, and stop at some given point of time... the G will always be about 0.5 secs ahead of the time Cubase shows (eg. Cubase 01:39.500 - G 01:40.001).

Also, if I RTZ within Cubase, the G won't RTZ as well. If I do hit RTZ within Cubase and hit play afterwards, the G will jump to 00:02.266 remain paused for a second and then start to transport as well. I guess the G is somewhat slower reaction-wise than Cubase.

I tried to tweak the "Offset" parameter on the G, but had no success with that either.
Is there a simple solution to my problems  ... I'm going slightly mad at the moment  .

Thanks guys, your input is highly appreciated :D !

I'm not the MIDI expert by any means but I thought you could only use one or the other on the G. Seems like I read that somewhere. Did you try MMC and MTC separately? I'm here to learn .

Yes, I've tried that... but it didn't change anything really :? .

I've just been pointed to a thread on the Cubase Archive, which might be the solution to this problem... I'll keep y'all posted.

Cheers,

michel
