Text to voice applications have been around for a long time. This was a feauture of the old RIM devices which we all now know as Blackberry.
To use this technology effectively in a music application you also have to tell the software (via midi) the notes you want to attribute to each syllable or it ends up sounding robotic.
I've seen the E-W Symphonic software in the Sweetwater catalog. EXPENSIVE stuff.
