For me Sonar Producer was a challenge to learn just basic stuff. I hate wading though manuals and documentation. But now I'm seeing some limitless possibilities. Fortunately there is a very active Sonar forum that has been quite helpful - like with the problem I had trying to get Dimension Pro to work. All I had to do was to run Sonar as an admin. Who would have known? And for my purposes just importing midi files saved in GM format. From there is was a real challenge filtering through the thousands of patches available to find the ones that worked and wiring the tracks to the patches.

Lately I've been using a lot of Dimension Pro soft synths with some success. But it will take a couple of lifetimes to explore everything the Sonar Producer has to offer.

Some samples I created:

http://bengalrecords.com/MIDI/Relaxer.mp3 - 16mb 128bps mp3 - orchestral sound

http://bengalrecords.com/MIDI/Sonari.mp3 - 14mb 128bps mp3 - some electronica

Now on to more fun
