I installed my new EMU 0404 PCI audi/midi interface($70), and then installed SD2, and authorized it. Fired up Acid Pro 6 and launched SD2 and took a seat at my V-Drums.......what happened next made me poop my pants. My V-drums don't even seem like the same set....so many velocity layers.......if a fly lands on a pad you'll hear it.....well....no but that's how it feels when playing.......RESPONSE....something the vdrums always lacked is finally here. Latency is at 3ms, which is unnoticeable. It was too late to whack the drums like I wanted to tonight, but I'm blown away. This is the best thing I've ever done for my drumming lust.

I found a mod on the VDRUM forum for the ride cymbals' bell, which needs a VERY hard hit to trigger. I will do open heart surgery on it soon to make it easier to trigger that excellent "ping" sound. I will post a drum clip afterwords to see what y'all think of the new stuff. Trust me, it ROCKS!!!!!!!!

:rr:

Spish,

That sounds realistic dude!

And without the hassle of having to mic up a kit or worry about a crummy sounding room/phase, etc....

I'd have to say that is the best sounding V-Drums I've heard.

Thanks for posting.

Gary

I just received my Free expansion pack for Superior drummer........FUNKMASTERS! It's the two drummers from James Brown and their Drum kits. I posted a link to the MP3 demo page a while back, but in case you missed it......HERE you go. the Demos are on the upper right of the page(the Drum And Bass one is cool). It also comes with a ISHT load of midi files that sound awesome for Drum'n'bass techno music.

Your drums sound better and better on the Dogpile track Shack... the more instruments pile on, the more authentic they sound. good buy!
