When I burn songs to CD there is intermitent interference (crackling). I dont pick it up on stereo track play back and have tried various types of disc. Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing this? I'm guessing I'll have to send it back for repair, meantime how can I transfer data from my 16G onto my pc for burning to CD?

What happens when you export the stereo track (that doesn't have that interference) to wav on the CD?

Are you sure you're actually burning the stereo track? I mean, I hope you save the song after the latest remix.

There might be a leftover scene at work, on the other hand, you would hear it on the stereo track as well.

Ive tried burning WAV files to disc and the same thing happens. I'v cleaned up all the tracks prior to mixing. It's definitely an intermitent fault as I've managed to get a disc burnt successfully last week (after a few tries).

If you're having trouble burning WAV files to the CD, then it's very likely you'll have problems doing a backup of songs. For every song you backup, rename it after the backup and then try and restore it from the CD. Otherwise, you might find you have a bunch of bad backup CDs when you get things fixed.

Sounds like a bad CD drive to me or its interface electronics on the main AW circuit board.
