hi folks ..just got a second-hand 1600 but theres no CD...i've downloaded the user manual so thats no problem....but apparently theres supposed to be another CD which contains 'stuff' to import/export...transport folders etc.....its my intention to record drums at a local studio then put them onto the recorder before overdubbing etc....do i need this CD or can i do all that kinda stuff without it.....look forward to a reply, cheers, simon

Welcome to the forum Simon.

You have full functionality without the CD. You could use the CD for the drum samples, but it's very limited so that is only useful when it happens to have exactly what you're looking for. Which never happened to me.

Two items on the CD are in the docs section of the forum. Go to
http://docs.dijonstock.com/
and scroll down to AW1600 Tools. You can download the USB driver and templates for using the AW1600 with some PC recording software.

I think the only other thing on the CD was the drum samples/loops.

Welcome to the forum!

Hi,

dont forget that the very important demo song is on the CD, too.
An AW without a demo song is like a workstation without any problems
