I have already done the mixdown and everything and when I press on track at once it keeps saying "NO STEREO TRACK!" I really need help before I shoot myself!

I'll go downstairs and look- but seems to me it may mean you actually have not actually recorded any stereo track yet, or do not have the virtual track you did record designated. ???

Yes indeed - the error message you are getting means there are no stereo track available to fill the list, using the instructions robbie gave you in your othjer thread.

a couple of possibilities

1. You did not actually record a stereo track. going to mixdown in the RECORD dialogs is just the first step,. You have to activate the record button in this window, then press play and record to actually record the stereo track. If you have not done one of these things it will prompt you, but if you just hit play while in the mixdown window you are merely listening to your mix but not recording it.

2. If you did actually record a mix, but are still in the song you mixed, and it is the only mix you have done, the CD burn list will not see it unless you save the song. this will also be true if you re-record a stereo track over a previously recorded virtual slot. the old version will turn up like a bad penny, until you do that save - we have all been duped by this aspect at one time or another.

3. None of the designated virtuals is actually recorded - this is unlikely, but it is how I recreated the error message - to check my prediction.

Try, retry, re-retry, read the manual, ask questions on the forum, search the forum. You will learn.

Sometimes it's hard to grasp the concept of the machine (I remember the G/1600 to be one huge question mark, so I can relate to your frustration), but once you do, you will have an awful lot of fun and you'll find the machine quite easy to handle.

My big question mark is gone, but I still have quite a few question marklets to deal with.

Sometimes fire alone is not enough...you'll need an accelerant like gasoline or kerosene...make sure your fuel (what you are trying to burn) is not water logged and you are getting plenty of oxygen...

Just make sure the gun is not loaded first.

Oh and I already figured out what the problem was! I didn't make the song into a track! that was the problem!

I remember that was my problem too when I first got to know the G.

But later I decided it was logical... it makes sense to first make a finished product before "exporting" (= writing an audio CD) it.

Oh.... what do you mean with the track? ...I was yesterday triyng to burn a cd and everything was on tracks and I did everything I musted to do and... no stereo tracks in the list!!!
Really I understand your first message, because I almost take an axe and make the AW in bits.... (this was the second attempt to do it (the last night too), at late night, and I had to be in bed soon...!! )
Well, i didn't it, first I musted do to another matters as recover my tranquility and forget all this (sleeping, for example)
But now, recovering my serenity and self-esteem I want to know what happened with that... (How many troubles has give me this machine along these last years and everything because the user manual is nothing clear and friendly for musicians as I am...) -So, this forum is a MUST.
Well, I have some finished songs, I took one yesterday, I had a mixdown as the manual says, I recorded it into the stereo track -I could ear the ST making it active via Monitor Menu- I saved the song, I go to the CD Menu, the digital recording is activated in the Utility Menu, press the Disc at Once -or the Track at Once- , and THERE IS NOT TRACKS into the List.... So time after time doing it...
Cagüen brevs...!!! -Sorry, its an spanish outburst...

So, I retake this thread to ask for your HELP....

Go to the cd page > select Track at once ( or disc at once) > cursor to New > press enter. > cursor to right (rectangle of dots) Use the jog wheel to roll through the stereo tracks that exist. > choose the one you want > If you wish to add another mix from another song to your disc cursor to New > press enter > new dotted rectangle will appear > cursor to it > roll through tracks etc. etc. etc. > when list is as you want it > Execute

You are a good man, Byron. I just keep sending them to the sticky at the top of the CD burner page that I wrote years ago so we wouldn't have to keep answering this question.

Thanks to both... I could resolve the question reading another message with the same problem... There is a truly arsenal of it...
The matter is that I forgeted the way to do it, I did it one or two years ago -really, I burn my music very little- and was a challege then for me, but now I didn't remenber where there was the "key"... The "key" is that you must to mark New in the CD Write Menu, and then jump to the first song that appears and roll on with the wheel... so, all the others stereo tracks -from songs- appears... Yes, another really cryptic matter around this little-great ugly-beauty product of Yamaha ...(The good user manual is something so important as the product itself, I think... So, Yamaha, why don't you do well this little work for us?.....

I think this issue was the most frustrating for me of any I have encountered with the machine. There are certainly lots of procedures to remember

Hope i don't forget the tricks, as I am not sitting at my desk nearly as much these days. Lots of time eaten up with a new assignment at work. If you don't use it - you may lose it. So all you recordists out there - keep practising.

to keep from doing the same mistake over, I always sneak a peak at the rec 101. you cant say it isnt helpful! I'd say its a lot friendlier than the manual, even though it doesnt hold as much information. its strait to the point, just the way I like it
