I am looking into possible uses for S/PDIF output from the AW16G. I have not done this before, so I would like to know what type of intended reception such a signal should have. So far, it seems that routing the 'G's S/PDIF signal to an audio interface, then letting the interface convert the result somehow might be useful. I hope that doing so would not just be a useless step, rather an advantageous alternative to the STEREO OUT analog signal. I also don't really know if one signal (analog or digital) has better resolution than the other. I know that ADAT and related tech is basically obsolete; just wanting to know if the S/PDIF offers usefulness for routing into a DAW ...
