Hi folks.

So, as it it, my AW16g stereo master fader is acting up badly. (this seemed to happen over night) It no longer linearly fades up and down but now only works at the very top of its run, and it is even intermittent up there. If you put it all the way up and fool with it, you can just about get it to give maximum level but, even then its sketchy. Does anyone know whats going on with it and if there is anything I can do?
This makes using the AW16g very troublesome and creates terrible insecurity when using?

hello phil,

one of my "go to" fixes for problems of this kind is deoxit gold g5 contact cleaner ... shut off all power supplies, spray along the operating length of the fader, operate the fader back and forth a couple times, then wait a few minutes for the stuff to evaporate before powering back up ..

you should be able to source this stuff from any quality electronics supply store ... probly not radioshack

you will find that deoxit has many uses in the studio and personal equipment..ie. noisy input jacks, scratchy tone/volume knobs etc.

i totally support this product ... of course, your actual mileage may vary ...
