A couple of recent drawings that are appropriate for this forum. The second one is for Ron.

Those are just amazing. Of course the Zappa is special to me. The transformation is pure brilliance. Unbelievable pieces of art.

Thank you all. Any suggestions for more unnatural couplings?

There's 'unnatural' and then there's plain 'weird' . . .

Who amongst us can say that they don't immediately think of Mother Theresa when contemplating the mother of invention? Not I . . .

These are fun Howard; what media?

Cheers, Randy

Just a thought Hojo... My eyes were first drawn to the "text" at the bottom of the drawing, so I naturally looked at the frames right next to the text...did it matter to you where the viewer started (e.g., at Reagan before Richards)?? Make sense??

how ya been Q???

Hi Bok - I've been fine, thanks. Yes, that's always the case: the eye is always drawn (pardon the pun) first of all to text in an image. It can't be helped. I don't think the position is that important really and when I did try it top left it just didn't look right.

The text was originally put in because otherwise there would have been a gap - so I decided to use the text to try and explain something about the whole image.

Thanks Randy. The original portraits were drawn in pen and ink with acrylic colour over the top. These were then scanned and the the chopping up etc. done in Photoshop.
