er, I dunno. It's not worth much, but probably more to you than me... Got any ideas? I know we are a long way from each other geographically speaking, but that really shouldn't matter... I should check and see if I have the power supply first, although I bet its an easy purchase if not... Lemme see what one of these things sells for over here. Maybe a cheap trade of some sorts :?:

I will PM you if I get some info...

Salud!

Bok, well played sir! You have stuff that will never let you down. Those amps and those guitars are MONEY!!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE this thread! Keep it coming guys! I'm looking at your setups and really getting good ideas. I think when the whole Planet Cool thing settles down, I'm going to start implementing some of your ideas.

Aye - I'll have a look about to see what they are worth here. I didn't realise you were far away - if the costs outweigh the benefits we can leave it.

Thanks!

You just showed one half of my first multi-tracker, Bobby. I used two of them - recorded into the first, then played the first back and played along while recording on the second, etc. I don't think I ever managed more than three "tracks" before it all turned to mud, but for a 14 year old kid with an acoustic guitar before the days of the Tascam PortaStudio, it sure was good fun.

This was my first recorder. It was a 4 track Teac 2340. It took the 7.5" reels.

A few years later I found this matching mixer which allowed me to sync the tracks and add more inputs.

I read on another forum that this means Teac will go down the dumper.

Unfortunately I think TEAC was on it's way down the dumper already. I bought a CD burner from them a couple years ago and it's been nothing but trouble.

From the scuttlebutt I've heard, Gibson bought TEAC to compete with Fender in the "we do it all" category; Amps, outboard gear, etc. Yeah, Gibson will very likely destroy what's left...
