Hello Jasper, and welcome to the forum. Maybe someone will come along with more info, but I can't recall ever reading about an update to the G that fixed anything major - maybe a mispelling in a menu or something. Probably not worth thinking about, but I could be wrong.

Hi Jasper,

The la(te)st version is 1.06. <-- click

If you think your machine is working well, I wouldn't worry about it. There are no new functions or features that I know of. It might fix the lousy "optimize" function but I have no high hopes of that.

If you want to upgrade, burn the file of the link in my post to a CD, put the CD in the CD-unit and start the machine. Never done it myself though. And, obviously, do it at your own risk.

Hope this helps.

The best update for the AW16G is the AW2400.

That's true.
Seems we will play a bigger gig in April and like always I will use my AW 2400 as the live mixer again. 12 channels input and 12 tracks are enough for mixing my band. With the Roland drum kit drums only need 2 channels.
I discovered that using the Omni outs will give you the possibility to have 4 different monitor mixes with this great machine. Seperate EQ for every Omni out to use as a notch filter to destroy feedback and the possibility to configure the effect intensity are great fetures for using the omnis for monitor mixes. For sure I will record the gig with the AW too.

For me it's an "all trick pony" ...

I watch Ebay to get an AW2400 as an backup, but they are also very very rare in germany/europe. Hope the machine will last looonng.
Andreas

Hi Robbie,
We don't need any bass player.
If we get the gig we need YOU :o
I will keep you updated when I know more!
Andreas

What for, if you don't need a bass player?

Ah... you need an audience

Or a cheese carrier?

Ah... I misread your post. Not ANY bass player, but ME.

I'm honoured. When are the rehearsals?

Ha. Now you got it right. Sorry for my bad English.
No rehersals or we run out of cheese before the gig.

There is a gig in planning for April in our town hall with some of the "old" local bands. As Erich and Harry had been the local heroes in the 70s we will be one of the main acts :-)
Hope they got the festival to happen.

Oh, and my bandmates told me to invite you to jam with us there. Seems they love your bass playing more than mine. But when you play bass I will play guitar. Next problem for my bandmates
Andreas

Your english is more than good enough Andreas. 8)

If I can I will join. I'll wear my wooden shoes and my cheesy hat.

Let me know as soon as you know the date.

No tunnel in Bad Oeyenhausen yet, right?
