Hi there im new to the forum, im told this is the place to be as a new owner of the AW16G i aquired this intresting bit of kit about a month ago, and im slowly finding my way around, "its good fun" wife's fed up with it already, Dont think they will ever be friends. im sure im gonna need some help along the way, so without further ado my first silly question.

After mixing down my first song to the stereo track and saved it, i went on to set up my track list ready to burn.
the first song "the book" appears in the list after i added it using the 'new' button, then i go back and mix down my next song, same procedure, until i come to add it to my burn list, when i press 'new' it just adds the first song again. "the book" what am i doin wrong ere, ive ended up with a disc full of the same song

Cheers guys
Stig

To export to PC you'll have to burn discs. Not really a problem, but not the handiest solution.

1965... I was born in '65.

He was born much later but with his legendary speed he was bound to catch up with you... :)

Stigger, the moment you see "hey it's that other song!" in your screen, use the arrow keys to select that song name (dotted lines around it). Then turn the jog dial and see what happens.

I think the optical out gives what is put on the stereo bus. So, yes it would be possible, but personally I would prefer burning a CD (gives a backup too).

So transfering to the PC would only be a stereo track?

It would be what you hear on playback through the monitor speakers, if I'm correct... you hear there what is put on the stereo bus. A normal playback will only let you hear what is connected to the bus through the monitor button. You can assign the stereo track to the stereo bus by using the monitor button to get to the stereo menu and turn stereo track on (what you do to check how the stereo track sounds).
