Guys,

I took the dust cover off of my G, monitors, and peripherals and started recording again. But I quickly ran into the sticking soft key issue I had experienced with my aw16g last year (the Record key sticks). I freaked out and went and ordered a used aw16g from reverb.com. It arrived quickly and I found that backing up work files to CDs actually works (in terms of restoring them to the "new" aw16g's hard disk).

I have recorded with the "new" unit and everything appears to be copascetic. I guess I am just unwilling to invest in new, computer-based recording systems and am also leery of the learning curve.

So now I have two aw16g's, one with a suspect Record button, and an aw1600 that seems to be hopelessly hosed.

I will post some new music on File Exchange soon (if it's still working).

Cheers, Randy
