Go to a website that contains a picture.
Right-click on the image, select properties.
Copy the image location/name (select the complete url, right-click on it, select copy)
Start a new post
Put the url between the [img]and%20the[/img] tag with no spaces.

If you want to see how it's done, go to someone else's post that contains a picture and click "quote". It'll put the other post in quote tags in your new post. It gives you the opportunity how exactly he/she made the post.

Nice drumkit RZ, bet yer itching to get them mic,d up. Have you considered what mics you will be using to mic up yet? I have a digital kit as I live in a fairly populated neighbourhood so a full blown accoustic set would be out of the question, plus my timings not brilliant thank god for quantize

Pictured above is my Premier kit bought new in 1974 and gigged till 2001 since then it's only had a couple of outings but I could never part with it.

See all drums sets are red! That's a nice kit. Lots of toms is a good thing. There are many who prefer the older vintage drums. There's drum forums galore and some love to show off their vintage sets. And I know this is hard to believe . . . . but some of them are NOT red!

Oh and as for micing my drums, I'm not sure yet how I plan to do it. Right now, I'm working with this crap I bought called moon gel to deaden the sound a bit. Then I think I need to look in to individual mounted tom stands. I'm noticing one of my cymbal stands is listing. So I'm saving my allowance to get some tom stands.

A year and a half later and I've not mic'ed the set. Oh I bought some mic'd and have a mixer, just lost interest in making a big mess with wires everywhere trying to tune and mix.

So, I am now going back to electronic drums. I made a deal with a guy in a city a few hours away. Gonna go get them Sunday. Then I will probably sell the red ones.

Crazy.

Good for you. Electronic drums are a good answer for many home recording ( and small club) applications. The drums are adjusted to the band, not the other way round - which can lead to severe volume wars!!! especially if your drummer is a banger, who thinks that brushes , or other alternate strikers, are not good.

I always hated e_drums workout checking them out until we had to change our rehearsal room to my house in the basement with only 2,20 meters Heights.

The Roland td20 sounds really amazing in this room and is a perfect solution for hassle free recording.

Now we are able to play so loud we want and not how the drum kit forces us.

Do you have mesh on the toms or is it the standard skin on the toms?

This kit was build buying the tdw20 module first. He bought the td12 rack for space, and the added all the hardware. All the drum triggers are mesh. The cymbals could stand replacing. A couple are ok. There are 4 toms and 4 cymbals. He mounted the snare on part of the rack and uses a DW trigger for the high hat. The previous owner was stationed over in Italy when he built it. He shipped it back here a few years ago.

He sold it because he's having a second child and he just bought a 32' boat. He gave me all kinds of adds like a DW double bass pedal, a roc n soc throne, headphones, and extra clamps, hardware, cables and an old iPod. I think I got a great deal even if I drove 130 miles each way to get it.

I fit it in the studio part of my office. It's a tight fit but it works. I'll post some pix soon.

I really am enjoying it.

I wish i could play drums. to get different parts of my body to move on different beats in the measure, keep it going and above all - steady -- I can't do it.

loops and software with which to assemble the loops - that is the extent of my prowess. I can hear it and know what I'd want to hear, but play it ----- I should practice.

You do realize you can, with practice, play the drums. Over the past few weeks I've been working with my daughter-in-law on the basic fundamentals of drumming. I had her do a 4 count on the bass, 2 count on the snare starting with the second and ending with the 4th. Then got her to add 8ths to a cymbal. While she is still struggling to get it all working, she actually is beginning to get the rhythm.
